Hi, all! I was really honored to be interviewed last week and I am super stoked to have the opportunity to interview one of my favorite Buzznet users this week! Raven is crazy talented and I always look forward to her posts here on Buzznet and on other social media outlets.
Also, a quick note before we all get to know Raven a little better: thank you so much for your kind words in the comment section of my interview and thank you again to Dora for interviewing me!
How old are you?
Where do you live?
Seattle, Phoenix, and DC for the summer!
How did you hear about Buzznet?
I honestly can't remember - I feel like I was looking up a My Chemical Romance interview or something like that and it took me to Buzznet. It was back with the really old layout, when the login button was on the right hand of the screen. I'm pretty sure my first username had something to do with All Time Low. Shhh.
What keeps you here on Buzznet?
The people are a lot of fun - I've met tons of great people through Buzznet. It's great for establishing connections with people from across the globe. I like being able to see what people are up to in their lives via Buzznet... I think that is what keeps me coming back!
What do you want to see more of here on Buzznet?
I'd love to see more snail-mail projects - I love those! I think vlogs would be really awesome too, it's almost an unexplored media platform on Buzznet, different from blogs and photos as it combines them both and I think it'd be great to do a vlogging project!
Name three awesome projects you've taken part in here!
Camera Swap, Secret Santa, and this really isn't a project but I went to Sasquatch for Buzznet in 2011 and that was an amazing experience that I will never forget!
You're Still Dreaming
Favorite group on Buzznet?
I really like the Buzznet Story Tellers Group - I honestly haven't posted one story of my own, but I love reading everyone's posts. It's really neat reading stories from people's childhood or something that they wouldn't have otherwise shared.
Cats or dogs?
Definitely dogs - I've got a black lab mutt at home and she's my beautiful old lady.
What's your favorite thing to photograph?
People! I've really grown to like photographing people, which originally made me really uncomfortable. It started with concerts. Concert photography is one of my favorite things to do and I get the greatest feeling from it, I'm putting what I feel when I see that band into an image - trying to capture their essence and energy. I'm doing what I love and the musicians are doing what they love - each separate but wonderfully combined at a show!
Have you learned anything on Buzznet that you might not have learned if you weren't here?
I refined my concert photography skills through looking and talking with other concert photographers. I also learned a lot about time management and making contacts with other professionals through the internet.
Any final thoughts for us about Buzznet?
You all are fantastic, thank you for all of the support and Buzzlove. m/m/ Rock on.
Thanks again to Buzznet and to Raven! Remember to follow Raven here on Buzznet! Of course, all of the photos in this blog are credited to her and they are appropriately linked to her profile. She's incredibly talented!
